Australian mixed martial arts fighter

Vik Grujic is an Australian professional mixed martial artist of Serbian descent, formerly competed in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional competitor since 2010, Grujic was also a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia.

In July 2020 Vic caused controversy incorrectly suggesting COVID 19 was a hoax. He expressed defiance about wearing face masks.

Mixed martial arts career[edit]

Early career[edit]

Grujic made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2009, competing for regional promotions in Australia, before auditioning for TUF: Nations in 2013.

The Ultimate Fighter[edit]

On 5 December 2013, it was announced that Grujic had been selected as one of the middleweight fighters representing Australia for The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia. The reality show was led by Patrick Côté and Kyle Noke and premiered in early 2014.[1]

In his first fight, Grujic defeated fellow cast member Luke Harris via TKO.[2]

In the semi-finals, Grujic went on to face the Sheldon Westcott. Westcott won the fight by submission in the first round.[3]

Ultimate Fighting Championship[edit]

Grujic faced Nordine Taleb on 16 April 2015 at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale.[4] Grujic lost the bout via unanimous decision.[5]

Grujic faced Chris Indich on 28 June 2014 at UFC Fight Night 43.[6] Grujic won the fight via TKO in the first round.[7]

Grujic faced Chris Clements on 8 November 2014 at UFC Fight Night 55.[8] Clements won the fight via first round TKO.[9]

Grujic faced Brendan O’Reilly on 10 May 2015 at UFC Fight Night 65.[10] He lost the fight via unanimous decision.[11] Grujic was subsequently released from the organization. [12]
